Affected ACT! Versions: 7.0 & greater
The Error: ACT! Sync starts then sync fails during the sync process.
RTG's Suggested Action: This can happen from time to time with internet sync. At this time we are unsure why it happens.
Resolution You can switch to network sync for a few syncs and then back to internet sync.
1. Contact RTG and make sure your Database is configured for network sync.
2. Go to the Menus across the top select Tools > Synchronization Panel
3. Once the Synchronization Panel loads locate the link “Manage Connection Information” Click this link and change the dropdown to “Network (inside the firewall)” and make sure the sync server information is correct
4. Close the Synchronization Panel
5. Attempt to Sync.
6. After you have synchronized successfully go back into the Synchronization Panel and change it back to “Internet Sync(outside the firewall)”
7. Attempt to Sync again and you should be able to compete the sync.
